This has been Gerry's "joke" name for all of our babies i think. it's just pretty fun to say! When the German exchange students were here over the weekend, Gerry asked them if they knew anyone named Rutager. They asked us to repeat it a couple of times. Finally, Gerry spelled it. and they said, Oh, Root-a-ger (we'd been saying rut-a-ger), and then they said, no, they don't know anybody named that because it's a funny name. anyway, we got a chuckle out of that.
